Daily operational forecast for May 31, 2020

The operational forecast of possible emergency situations for May 31, 2020 on the territory of the Russian Federation is determined by the passage of 4 cyclones, 4 anticyclones and the atmospheric fronts. 

It’s forecast that there is a possibility of emergencies associated with the disruption of life support services, energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, and all modes of transport, flooding of lowered areas in:

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Chechen Republic (heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, wind speed increasing up to 20-25 m/s; in the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Chechen Republic – up to 28 m/s).

It’s forecast that there is a possibility of accidents associated with disruption of life support systems, all modes of transport, power lines breakage:

in the Siberian Federal District, in the Republic of Tyva, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Kemerovo and Tomsk regions (wind 15–20 m/s, rains, thunderstorms, hail, with thunderstorms squalling gusts of wind up to 24 m/s);

in the North Western Federal District, in the Novgorod Region (wind gusts up to 18 m/s);

in the Central Federal District, in the Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Moscow, Oryol and Tambov regions (heavy rain, wind gusts up to 18 m/s);

in the Volga Federal District, in the Republic of Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, the Chuvash Republic, Orenburg, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Penza and Saratov regions (rainfalls, heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, wind gusts up to 18-24 m/s);

in the Southern Federal District, in the Republic of Crimea (strong wind 15-20 m/s, heavy rain, thunderstorm in some areas, hail, fog at night and in the morning).

There is a possibility of flooding of lowered areas, household plots, low-water bridges in the Republics of Komi, Ingushetia, Tatarstan, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Chechen Republic, Krasnodar Territory, Kostroma, Vologda, Omsk, Murmansk regions.


The increase of thermal anomalies, single foci of natural fires (including counter fires of dry vegetation), foci and natural fires are forecast (caused by non-compliance with fire safety requirements; high fire hazard class, gusty winds):

in the Far Eastern Federal District (Republic of Buryatia, Sakha (Yakutia), Transbaikal, Primorsky, Khabarovsk territories, Amur Region, Jewish Autonomous Region); in the Siberian Federal District (Republic of Tuva, Altai Territory, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Tomsk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk regions); in the Ural Federal District (Chelyabinsk, Tyumen regions); in the Volga Federal District (Republic of Bashkortostan, Samara, Saratov, Orenburg regions); in the Southern Federal District (Republic of Kalmykia, Astrakhan region).

There is a possibility of activation of landslide processes, landslips, subsidence of soil in the mountainous and foothill areas of the North Caucasian and Southern Federal districts (the Republic of Adygea, the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory).
