Daily operational forecast for May 22, 2020

The operational forecast of possible emergency situations for May 22, 2020 on the territory of the Russian Federation is determined by the passage of 3 cyclones, 2 anticyclones and the atmospheric fronts. 

It’s forecast that there is a possibility of emergencies associated with the disruption of life support services, energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, and all modes of transport, flooding of lowered areas in:

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Stavropol Territory, Republic of Ingushetia, Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Republic of Karachay-Cherkess and Chechen Republic (heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, wind speed increasing up to 25 m/s, wind gusts up to 30 m/s).

It’s forecast that there is a possibility of accidents associated with disruption of life support systems, all modes of transport, power lines breakage:

in the Ural Federal District in the Sverdlovsk Region (heavy rain, gusts of wind up to 20 m/s) and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District (thunderstorms, gusts of wind up to 20 m/s);

in the Northwestern Federal District, in the Vologda (heavy rainfall in the form of rain and wet snow in some areas) and Arkhangelsk (wind gusts up to 15 m/s) regions; in the Southern Federal District, in the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Kalmykia and Adygea (heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail, gustsy wind up to 23 m/s);  

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, gusty wind up to 20 m/s). 

There is a possibility of flooding of lowered areas, household plots, low-water bridges, roads in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Krasnodar Territory, Vologda, Tomsk, Omsk regions.

The increase of thermal anomalies, single foci of natural fires (including counter fires of dry vegetation), foci and natural fires are forecast (caused by non-compliance with fire safety requirements; high fire hazard class, gusty winds):

in the Far Eastern Federal District (Transbaikal Territory, Amur Region);

in the Siberian Federal District (Republic of Tuva, Republic of Altai, Republic of Khakassia, Altai, Krasnoyarsk territories, Omsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk regions);

in the Ural Federal District (Chelyabinsk Region);

in the Volga Federal District (Republic of Tatarstan, Orenburg and Samara regions);

in the Southern Federal District (Republic of Crimea, Rostov Region).

There is an avalanche danger in the mountainous regions in the Siberian Federal District (in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva).

There is a possibility of activation of landslide processes, landslips, subsidence of soil in the mountainous and foothill areas of the North Caucasian and Southern Federal districts (the Republic of Adygea, the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory).
