Daily operational forecast for May 18, 2020

The operational forecast of possible emergency situations for May 18, 2020 on the territory of the Russian Federation is determined by the passage of 3 cyclones, 2 anticyclones and the atmospheric fronts.

It’s forecast that there is a possibility of emergencies associated with the disruption of life support services, flooding of lowered areas, energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, and all modes of transport: 

in the North Caucasian Federal District, in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, wind speed increasing up to 25 m/s).

It’s forecast that there is a possibility of accidents associated with disruption of life support systems, all modes of transport, power lines breakage:

in the Central Federal District, in Belgorod, Voronezh, Kaluga and Kursk regions (wind gusts up to 18-20 m/s);

in the Volga Federal District, in the Republic of Tatarstan (heavy rain).

There is a possibility of flooding of lowered areas, household plots, low-water bridges, roads, in the Republic of Komi, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, Primorsky, Perm Territories, Arkhangelsk, Tomsk, Omsk, Sverdlovsk regions and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District.

The increase of thermal anomalies, single foci of natural fires (including counter fires of dry vegetation), foci and natural fires are forecast (caused by non-compliance with fire safety requirements; high fire hazard class, gusty winds):

in the Far Eastern Federal District (Amur Region, Jewish Autonomous District, Transbaikal and Khabarovsk territories);

in the Siberian Federal District (Altai Republic, the Republic of Tuva, the Republic of Altai, Krasnoyarsk territories, Kemerovo, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions);

in the Ural Federal District (Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Tyumen and Sverdlovsk regions);

in the Volga Federal District (Orenburg, Samara and Saratov regions);

in the Southern Federal District (Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Kalmykia and Crimea);

in the North Caucasian Federal District (Stavropol Territory).

There is an avalanche danger in the mountainous regions in the Siberian Federal District (in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva); in the Southern Federal District (in the Republic of Adygea, in the Krasnodar Territory).

There is a possibility of activation of landslide processes, landslips, subsidence of soil in the mountainous and foothill areas of the North Caucasian and Southern Federal districts (the Republic of Adygea, the Republic of Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory).
