Daily operational forecast for May 15, 2020

The operational forecast of possible emergency situations for May 15, 2020 on the territory of the Russian Federation is determined by the passage of 3 cyclones, 2 anticyclones and the atmospheric fronts. 

There is a possibility of emergencies associated with the disruption of life support services, flooding of lowered areas, energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, and all modes of transport:

in the Far Eastern Federal District, in the Transbaikal Territory (precipitation in the form of rain, wet snow, heavy snow in some areas, wind speed increasing up to 20-24 m/s); 

in the Siberian Federal District, in the Republic of Tyva, the Republic of Khakassia and the Omsk Region (wind speed increasing of 12-17 m/s, up to 22-27 m/s in some areas, rains, heavy and very heavy rains in some areas, heavy rainstorms);

in the Northwestern Federal District, in the Nenets Autonomous District (wind speed increasing of 15-20 m/s with gusts up to 24-29 m/s) and the Murmansk Region (heavy rain, wet snow, high wind with gusts of 15-27 m/s);

in the North-Caucasian Federal District, in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (heavy rain combined with thunderstorm, hail, squally winds of 20-25 m/s; on the rivers of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, there is high water level).

There is a possibility of accidents associated with disruption of life support systems, all modes of transport, power lines breakage:

in the Far Eastern Federal District, in the Republic of Buryatia (rain, heavy rain in some areas, wind up to 16-21 m/s.);

in the Siberian Federal District, in the Irkutsk Region (the north-west wind speed increasing up to 15-20 m/s, at night in the southern regions and in the mountains of the East Sayan, there is a heavy rainfall in the form of rain and wet snow in some areas).

There is a possibility of flooding of lowered areas, household plots, low-water bridges, roads in the Republic of Mordovia, Komi, Primorsky Territory, Tomsk, Omsk, Kirov, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen regions.

The increase of thermal anomalies, single foci of natural fires (including counter fires of dry vegetation), foci and natural fires are forecast (caused by non-compliance with fire safety requirements; high fire hazard class, gusty winds):

in the Far Eastern Federal District (Republic of Buryatia, Transbaikal Territory, Amur Region);

in the Siberian Federal District (Republics of Tyva, Altai, Khakassia, Altai, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Omsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk regions);

in the Ural Federal District (Sverdlovsk, Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen regions, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District);

in the Volga Federal District (Republic of Tatarstan, Orenburg, Samara regions);

in the Southern Federal District (Republic of Kalmykia, Krasnodar Territory, Rostov, Astrakhan regions).

There is an avalanche danger in the mountainous regions in the Siberian Federal District (in the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva).
