Daily operational forecast for February 25, 2020

The operational forecast of possible emergencies on February 25, 2020 on the territory of the Russian Federation is determined by the passage of 4 cyclones, 3 anticyclones and the atmospheric fronts. 

Due to the impact of a complex of dangerous meteorological phenomena, there is a possibility of disruptions of energy facilities, communications, housing and communal services, life support services of the people in the North Caucasian Federal District: in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, Stavropol Territory (wind up to 30 m/s, precipitation); in the Southern Federal District: in the Republic of Crimea, the Republic of Kalmykia and the Krasnodar Territory (precipitation, ice and frost deposits, wind gusts up to 23-30 m/s).

In connection with the effects of complex meteorological phenomena there is a possibility of occurrence of incidents related to disruption of the energy facilities, communications, housing, life support services in the Siberian Federal District: in the South of the Taimyr municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory (wind, gusts up to 15-20 m/s, sometimes 22-27 m/s, snowstorm); in the Volga Federal District: in the entire territory of the Saratov Region (gusts up to 21 m/s, precipitation in the form of snow, sleet, sometimes rain); in the North Caucasian Federal District: in the Republic of Dagestan and the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania (precipitation, the wind to 20 m/s), the Republic of Ingushetia and the Chechen Republic (wind up to 25 m/s), Karachay-Cherkess Republic (the wind up to 28 m/s); in the Southern Federal District: in the Republic of Adygea, in Astrakhan, Volgograd and Rostov regions (precipitation, ice, rime, gusts of 15-20 m/s, in some areas up to 25 m/s); in the Central Federal Ditrict: in the Belgorod, Voronezh and Tambov regions (gusts to 20 m/s).

Due to the process of ice formation, there is a risk of people and equipment sinking under the ice of water bodies throughout the Russian Federation with the exception of the North Caucasian Federal district, in the Sakhalin Region, in the Mordvinov Bay and in areas of the South-Eastern coast of the Sea of Okhotsk, where it is possible to break and break off the coastal ice.

There is avalanche danger in the mountainous regions of Siberian Federal District, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva; in the North Caucasian Federal District: in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the Chechen Republic, the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the Republic of Dagestan and the Republic of Ingushetia; in the Southern Federal District: in the Republic of Adygea and Krasnodar Territory.

There is a possibility of activation of landslide processes, landslips, subsidence of soil in the mountainous and foothill areas of the North Caucasian and Southern Federal districts (the Republic of Adygea, the Republic of Crimea, Krasnodar territory).
