The construction of a fire station in the Arctic zone was discussed today during the working trip of the First Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia

On July 31, First Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan inspected the construction of a fast-erected fire station in the Oganer district, the city of Norilsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory).

During the inspection Alexander Chupriyan noted that living and building conditions in the Arctic zone are special, and this must be taken into account. “The new fire station should be built from modern fast-erected details. It will be a two-storey frame modular building for six fire trucks, where more than 30 personnel will serve,” the First Deputy Minister said. He especially noted the fact that such modular fast-erected constructions have not been built in the Arctic zone yet.

In general, EMERCOM of Russia takes an active part in the development of new technologies and methods of using equipment, forces and means, methods of rescue, control, modeling and forecasting in the Arctic. The construction of a new fire station is a complex work of specialists in all fields. Already today, work has begun on the preparation and approval of architectural and planning solutions for the facility where the fire and rescue unit will be located. The work is planned to be completed next year.

In the near future, joint large-scale scientific and practical trainings will be held here in order to develop new approaches and methods in the elimination of emergencies and accidents.
