The Commission of the EMERCOM of Russia assessed the preparation of the Novosibirsk Region for floods and fire season (video)

From 18 to 20 March, a working group of the Central office of the EMERCOM of Russia checked the state of the management bodies and operational forces of the Novosibirsk Region.

The Commission under the direction of the Director of Rescue Units Department of the EMERCOM of Russia, Lieutenant General Igor Kutrovsky, assessed the readiness of units to pass flood waters without accidents and pass the fire season.

During the three-day work, the maintenance of hydraulic structures was checked, possible scenarios for the development of a flood situation and planned measures to protect localities from the consequences of floods were worked out. In addition, the Commission assessed the availability of stocks of material resources to ensure the provision of citizens in the event of flooding.

Special attention is paid to monitoring the flood and forest fire situation using modern systems, including sensing the Earth's surface from satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles, which allow you to take all necessary measures in advance to minimize the consequences of seasonal risks.

Specialists of the Ministry of emergency situations of Russia also took part in a meeting of the regional Commission for emergency prevention and response and fire safety. At the meeting of the CES, reports were heard from the heads of municipalities, heads of ministries and departments on the work done to implement preventive measures in the subordinate territory to ensure fire safety.

During the work, the auditions were held in Novosibirsk, Berdsk, Iskitim and Kolyvan to check readiness to respond to emergency situations.

Based on the results of the audit, the Commission of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia confirmed the readiness of the Unified State System of Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations of the Novosibirsk Region to respond to possible violations of citizens ' life caused by spring floods and wildfires.
