On February 14, the XXV All-Russian Competition in Fire and Rescue Sport "Memorial of the Honored Coach of Russia Vasily Ivankov"ended in Omsk. 215 people from 19 teams from different regions of Russia competed for the championship.
On the first day of the event, participants climbed the assault ladder to the window of the second and fourth floors of the training tower. All elements of the distance correspond to real situations that firefighters regularly face on combat duty. On the second day, the athletes overcame the most difficult 100-meter obstacle course.
The winners of the All-Russian Competition were the team from the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. The second place was given to the athletes from the Sverdlovsk Region. The representatives of the Chelyabinsk Region were on the third place.
Women participated in the competition on equal terms with men. Catherine Kandakova from the winning team became the best among women in both disciplines. Last year, she broke the 100-meter streak in 15.99 seconds, securing the lead among girls.
