Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 271 man-caused fires, respond to 250 traffic accidents and 15 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 27 explosive devices, including 2 aerial bombs, provide psychological support on 47 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in a house in the Zamoskvorechye District in the city of Moscow; on a roofing of a pastry shop in the town of Penza;
- Traffic accident involving a minibus in the city of Rostov-on-Don;
- Disruptions in: power supply in Vuktyl District, Komi; cold water supply in Gatchina District, Leningrad Region and in the town of Samara.
Cyclone in Ciscaucasia and Ural area of the Russian Federation;
Medical evacuation of a child from the city of Saint Petersburg to the town of Makhachkala and one child from Makhachkala to Moscow;
Ensuring safety during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
