Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 291 man-caused fires, respond to 238 traffic accidents and 15 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 143 explosive devices, including 2 aerial bombs, provide psychological support on 24 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: on a roofing of a two-storey building in the city of Grozny, Chechnya; in a non-residential country house, spreading the fire onto 4 country houses and 2 outhouses in the town of Usolye-Sibirskoye, Irkutsk region; in a house in the town of Sochi;
- Traffic accidents involving: a truck and a passenger train in the settlement of Yeremeyevo, Azov District, Rostov Region; a car and a truck in Kozlovka District, Chuvashia; a car in the city of Sochi; a freight train and a car in Zadonsk District, Lipetsk Region;
- Disruptions in: power supply in the settlement of Talovaya, Talovaya District, Voronezh Region and cold water supply in the town of Lipetsk;
- Partial collapse of a building under construction in the town of Orsk, Orenburg Region.
Ensuring safety during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
