Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 252 man-caused fires, respond to 304 traffic accidents and 23 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 103 explosive devices, including 3 aerial bombs, provide psychological support on 15 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in a warehouse pavilion, with fire spreading to nearby roof of a trading center in the city of Krasnodar; in a house in the settlement of Novoivanovskoye, Moscow Region; in a private woodworking enterprise in the town of Kansk; on a 3rd floor of and administrative building in the town of Ufa;
- Traffic accident involving a minibus and two cars in the town of Astrakhan;
- Response to cyclone in Ulyanovsk Region.
Cyclone in the Volga area of the Russian Federation;
Ensuring safety during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
