Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 274 man-caused fires, respond to 285 traffic accidents and 32 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 8 explosive devices, including 1 aerial bomb, provide psychological support on 7 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Grounding of a ship on the Lena River in Namtsy District, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia);
- Fires: in a house in the town of Sebastopol; on an open ground in the settlement of Lesnaya, Novgorod Region;
- Disruption in cold water supply in the town of Neftegorsk, Samara Region.
Cyclone in Southern and Central parts of the Russian Federation;
Ensuring safety during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
