Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 340 man-caused fires, respond to 246 traffic accidents and 6 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 84 explosive devices, including 1 aerial bomb, provide psychological support on 14 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- A traffic accident involving a minibus and a car in the city of Yekaterinburg;
- Fires: in three detached houses in the settlement of Maksimovshchina, Irkutsk District, Irkutsk Region; on the premises of a waste disposal enterprise in Krasnogvardeisky District and two mazut tanks in Nevsky District, Saint Petersburg; in the workshop of an enterprise in the town of Ryazan.
Repairs of a sewage network in the settlement of Kadui, Vologda Region;
Ensuring safety during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia;
Spring floods in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
