Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 328 man-caused fires, respond to 213 traffic accidents and 7 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 116 explosive devices, including 4 aerial bombs, provide psychological support on 3 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Traffic accidents: involving a minibus and a truck in Baksan District, Kabardino-Balkaria;
- Fires in three detached houses and an outhouse in the town of Pskov;
- A disruption in gas supply in Aleksin Urban District, Tula Region; power outage in the town of Lermontov, Stavropol Territory and in three municipalities in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Restoration of power supply in the settlement of Alekseyevka, Kinel Urban District, Samara Region;
Response to a cyclone in central and Volga areas of Russia;
Ensuring safety during the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia;
Spring floods in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
