Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 359 man-caused fires, respond to 226 traffic accidents and 4 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 138 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 23 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in an administration building in the city of Yekaterinburg; in a warehouse in the town of Yaroslavl; in country houses and an outhouse at the gardeners’ partnership in Zavyalovo District, Udmurtia; in country houses and outhouses in the settlement of Anfalovo, Chelyabinsk Region;
- Disruptions in cold water supply in Blagodarny District, Stavropol Territory, the town of Kingisepp, Leningrad Region and the town of Voronezh .
Cyclone in Sverdlovsk Region;
Medical evacuation of two gravely ill children from the town of Nazran and Grozny to Nizhny Novgorod;
Spring floods in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires;
Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region.
