Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 372 man-caused fires, respond to 239 traffic accidents and 2 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 9 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 4 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in a one-storey workshop in the town of Tyumen; in a Republican Psychiatric Hospital No.1 in the town of Yoshkar-Ola;
- Traffic accidents involving: 6 cars in Domodedovo Urban Area, Moscow Region; 3 cars in Karabudakhkent District, Dagestan;
- Detachment of an ice-floe with fishers on it in the Sea of Okhotsk in the Nagayev Bay in the town of Magadan.
Spring floods in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires;
Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region.
