Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.

Work was organized to put out 269 man-caused fires, respond to 184 traffic accidents and 1 accident on waterways, find and defuse 149 explosive devices, including 1 aerial bomb, provide psychological aid on 5 occasions.

Measures were taken to mitigate:

-          Fires: in a caf? at the Izmailovsky shopping mall in Izmailovo, Moscow; at Bogatishchevo railway compressor station in Moscow Region; at a veterinarian clinic in Savelki, Moscow; in a detached house in the settlement of Kosikha, Kosikha District, Altai Territory; on the roof of a single-floor block of flats in the town of Gvardeisk, Kaliningrad Region;

-          A traffic accident involving a bus, 2 cars and 2 trucks in the city of Rostov-on-Don;

-          A derailment of freight train carriages in Iskitim District, Novosibirsk Region.

Under control:

A disruption in gas supply in the settlement of Ullubiyaul, Karabudakhkent District, Dagestan;

Spring floods in Russia;

Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires;

Provision of all-round assistance and support to relatives of the killed in plane crash in Moscow Region;

Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region.
