Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 336 man-caused fires, respond to 161 traffic accidents and 3 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 20 explosive devices, including 1 aerial bomb, provide psychological aid on 15 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: on the roof of a non-operational workshop in the city of Yekaterinburg; in a school in the town of Sterlitamak, Bashkortostan;
- A two-vehicle traffic accident in Uvelsky District, Chelyabinsk Region;
- Disruptions in cold water supply in 2 districts in Leningrad Region.
Relief operations after a derailment of freight train carriages in Iskitim District, Novosibirsk Region;
Spring floods in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires;
Provision of all-round assistance and support to relatives of the killed in plane crash in Moscow Region;
Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region.
