Under Russian Emergencies Ministry's control

Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.

Work was organized to put out 312 man-caused fires, respond to 222 traffic accidents, find and defuse 33 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 25 occasions.

Measures were taken to mitigate:

-          Fires: in a production workshop in the settlement of Bobrovsky, Sysert Urban District, Sverdlovsk Region; in a restaurant in Khamovniki, Moscow; in a mine in Mirny Urban District, Sakha, (Yakutia);

-          Traffic accidents: involving two cars in Yemelyanovo District, Krasnoyarsk Territory; involving a private minibus in Medvenka District, Kursk Region; involving a minibus in Pavlovka District, Ulyanovsk Region;

-          Delay of metro trains in Saint Petersburg;

-          Disruptions: power outages in the city of Kaliningrad and 4 districts in Dagestan; a disruption in cold water supply in the town of Voronezh and in the settlement of Zarechny in the town of Belaya Kalitva, Rostov Region.

Under control:

Restoration of heat supply in the town of Kirov;

Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region;

Humanitarian assistance to the people in Philippines and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
