NATIONAL CRISIS MANAGEMENT CENTER

Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 327 man-caused fires, respond to 197 traffic accidents, find and defuse 1 explosive device, provide psychological aid on 16 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: at the façade of a 9-floor block of flats in the town of Tyumen; in a storehouse in an industrial area in the city of Yekaterinburg;
- Traffic accidents: involving two cars at kilometer marker 10 of the motorways linking Yekaterinburg and Tyumen in Beloyarsky Urban District, Sverdlovsk Region; involving a car and a truck at kilometer marker 176 of the regional road between Altai and Kuzbass in Guryevsk District, Kemerovo Region; involving 7 vehicles at kilometer marker 3 on Kaluzhskoye Highway in Moscow;
- A spill of black oil in the port of Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory;
- Disruptions: power outages in 6 districts in Kirov Region; disruptions in heat supply in the town of Chernogorsk, Khakassia, in the town of Cherepovets, Vologda Region and in the town of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk; a disruption in cold water supply in the city of Krasnoyarsk.
A cyclone in Sakhalin Region;
Restoration of cold water supply in the settlement of Zarechny, the town of Belaya Kalitva, Rostov Region;
Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region;
Humanitarian assistance to the people in Philippines and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
