Under Russian Emergencies Ministry's control

Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.

Work was organized to put out 368 man-caused fires, respond to 177 traffic accidents and 1 accident on waterways, find and defuse 21 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 25 occasions.

Measures were taken to mitigate:

-        Traffic accidents: involving a truck and a car in Pochinki District, Nizhny Novgorod Region; involving two cars in Plesetsk District, Arkhangelsk Region; involving a trolleybus and a minibus in the town of Ryazan;

-        Fires: in a detached house in the city of Sochi, Krasnodar Territory; in a cathedral in Altaisky District, Khakassia;

-        A disruption in heat supply in the town of Syzran, Samara Region;

-        Breaks of heating mains in 4 districts in Saint Petersburg.

Under control:

A disruption in cold water supply in the town of Belaya Kalitva, Rostov Region

Situation at a ferry crossing in the Kerch Strait;

Monitoring of air in the city of Moscow and Moscow Region;

Humanitarian assistance to the people in Philippines and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
