Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 323 man-caused fires, respond to 284 traffic accidents and 2 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 110 explosive devices, including 9 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 10 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- A helicopter crash in Andropovsky District, Stavropol Territory;
- A fire at a construction market in Balashikha Urban District, Moscow Region;
- A gas explosion in a house in the town of Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria;
- Disruptions in heat supply in the towns of Penza and Tver.
Relief operations after a cyclone in Samara Region;
Restoration of cold water supply in the town of Gukovo, Rostov Region;
Response to gas explosions in a house in the settlement of Novorudny, Orenburg Region and of a gas tank in a house in the town of Ust-Kut, Irkutsk Region;
Humanitarian assistance to the people in Philippines and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
