Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 454 man-caused fires, respond to 242 traffic accidents and 1 accident on waterways, find and defuse 1 explosive device, provide psychological aid on 27 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- A rupture of a technical water line in the town of Omsk;
- A traffic accident at a regulated railway crossing in Belgorod District, Belgorod Region;
- A fire at an administration building on the premises of a mill in Yuzhnoye Medvedkovo, Moscow;
- A power outage in 5 districts in Penza Region.
Operations to restore: water supply in the settlement of Porechye, Pravdinsk Urban District, Kaliningrad Region and heating supply in the city of Khabarovsk;
A cyclone in Central Russia;
Response to gas explosions in a house in the settlement of Novorudny, Orenburg Region and of a gas tank in a house in the town of Ust-Kut, Irkutsk Region;
Humanitarian assistance to the people in Philippines and the Commonwealth of Dominica.
