Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 287 man-caused fires, respond to 237 traffic accidents and 1 accident on waterways, find and defuse 134 explosive devices, including 19 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 16 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Disruptions in cold water supply: in the town of Yasnyi, Orenburg Region; in Prokhladny District, Kabardino-Balkaria;
- Traffic accidents involving two cars in Malgobek District, Ingushetia.
Response to a gas explosion in the town of Izhevsk;
Restoration of water supply in the town of Ulan-Ude;
Medical evacuation from the town of Rostov-on-Don to Moscow;
Situation at a ferry crossing in Sakhalin Region;
Humanitarian assistance to the people in Cuba;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
