Fire in shopping center in Moscow Region put out

The fire in the construction shopping center in Odintsovo District, Moscow Region was completely put out at 3:01 PM, 10 October 2017.

More than 350 people and over 180 units of equipment, including 3 Kamov Ka-32 water-bombing helicopters of the Emergency Ministry’s Zhukovsky Air Rescue Center and Moscow Aviation Center, specialized fire and rescue equipment: sky lifts, aerials and fire engines were involved in dealing with the fire. Shkval pumping station of Emergency Ministry’s Noginsk Rescue Center and two heavy robotic units Uel-10 and LUF-60 of the Emergency Ministry’s All-Russian Fire Defense Research Institute were deployed. Mobile laboratories are measuring maximum permissible concentration of carbon monoxide. No exceeding has been registered. The fire burned 55 thousand sq. meters. 1,000 sq. meters of the roof collapsed. More than 3,000 customers and staff of the center were evacuated.

A procedural check into the fire is underway. A task force of Emergency Ministry’s investigators, experts of a fire lab and specialists of the decision-making center of the Emergency Ministry’s All-Russian Fire Defense Research Institute is working. The population are being updated.
