Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 346 man-caused fires, respond to 325 traffic accidents and 1 accident on waterways, find and defuse 15 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 35 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in a detached house in the town of Balakhna, Nizhny Novgorod Region; in a detached house in the settlement of Dmitriyevka, Blagoveshchensk District, Bashkortostan; on an open ground for storing wooden products in the settlement of Pobeditel, Krasnodar urban District; in a confectionary storehouse in the town of Ufa, Bashkortostan; at a merchandizing market in the city of Rostov-on-Don;
- Smoke conditions in an office of an oncology hospital in the town of Ivanovo;
- An explosion of a gas tank in an outhouse in the settlement of Sosnovo, Priozyorsk District, Leningrad Region;
- Spill of oil emulsion in Yanaul District, Bashkortostan.
Medical evacuation of a child severely injured in a traffic accident in Vladimir Region by an Emergency Ministry’s helicopter from Vladimir to Moscow;
Restoration of heat supply in the town of Nevyansk, Sverdlovsk Region;
Suppression of a fire at a construction shopping center in Odintsovo District, Moscow Region;
Humanitarian assistance to the people in Cuba;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
