A fire started at a merchandise market in a two-floor pavilion in the city of Rostov-on-Don, 19?4 Lelyushko Street, at 9:08 Moscow time, 8 October 2017.
Emergency Ministry’s fire and rescue divisions and other emergency services were dispatched immediately to the scene.
The measures taken prevented the spread of the fire to the whole market and nearby residential areas.
The fire was contained at 1:54 AM Moscow time, 9 October 2017. At 7:48 AM, 9 October 2017, open blaze was put out. The fire was completely extinguished at 2 PM Moscow time. According to preliminary data, nobody was hurt.
Laboratories are measuring maximum permissible concentration of carbon monoxide at the scene, no exceeding has been registered. The population is kept informed.
More than 310 people and over 80 units of special equipment were involved in dealing with the fire.
