Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 396 man-caused fires, respond to 310 traffic accidents and 3 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 4 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 10 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- A light plane crash in Predgorny District, Stavropol Territory;
- A traffic accident involving a passenger train and a truck at a railway crossing in Mtsensk District, Oryol Region;
- Fires: in a detached house in Rezh Urban District, Sverdlovsk Region; in a single-floor storage in the town of Ufa;
- Power outages in Maima District, Altai Republic, in Makhnyovo District, Sverdlovsk Region and in Uglegorsk Urban District, Sakhalin Region.
Suppression of a fire at a construction shopping center in Odintsovo District, Moscow Region;
Suppression of a fire at a merchandise market in the city of Rostov-on-Don;
Humanitarian assistance to the people in Cuba;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
