Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 257 man-caused fires, respond to 299 traffic accidents and 6 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 323 explosive devices, including 2 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 56 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: on the attic of a house in the town of Ulan-Ude, Buryatia; in an administration and storage building in the town of Akhtubinsk, Astrakhan Region; on the roof of a university in the town of Surgut, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area; in a business center in Solokinaya Gora District, Moscow;
- A traffic accident involving a private minibus, a truck and a car in the town of Chelyabinsk;
- A disruption in gas supply in Nazran District, Inguzhetia.
