Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 276 man-caused fires, respond to 322 traffic accidents and 4 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 46 explosive devices, including 2 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 26 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Traffic accidents involving: a passenger train and a truck on a controlled railway crossing through a local motorway between the settlements of Megion – Nizhnevartovsk in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area; a truck and 2 cars on 24 kilometer mark of R-355 local motorway Yekaterinburg-Polevskoy in Svedrlovsk Region; 2 cars on a local motorway between the settlements of Vorontsovka, Krasnoperekopsk District, Crimea;
- fires: in a granary in the settlement of Tselina, Tselina District, Rostov Region; in an apartment on first-storey of a house in the settlement of Lugovoye, Kamen-on-Ob District, Altai Territory; in a clothes store in an administration building in Butyrsky District, Moscow.
Since 21 August – response to a man-caused fire in the city of Rostov-on-Don;
Relief operations after cyclones in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
