Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 297 man-caused fires, respond to 261 traffic accidents and 8 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 11 explosive devices, provide psychological aid on 20 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- A cyclone in the town of Ufa, Bashkortostan;
- Fires: in a house in the settlement of Karpogory, Pinezhsky District, Arkhangelsk Region; in a school in Ivanovskoye District, Moscow; in a day care center in the settlement of Yuzhny, Orenburg District, Orenburg Region;
- A traffic accident involving a coach and a car in Tverskoy District, Moscow.
Since 3 September – response to a cyclone in Sakhalin Region and Kamchatka Territory;
Since 3 September – a power outage in Todzhinsky District, Tuva Republic;
Since 1 September – response to a cyclone in Elbrus District, Kabardino-Balkaria;
Since 23 August – response to wildfires in Volgograd Region;
Since 21 August – response to a man-caused fire in the city of Rostov-on-Don;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
