Over the past 24 hours the NationalCrisisManagementCenter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.

Work was organized to put out 312 man-caused fires, respond to 369 traffic accidents and 18 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 123 explosive devices, including 3 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 51 occasions.

Measures were taken to mitigate:

-                Fire in a two-storey house in the settlement of Solnechny, Surgut District, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area;

-                Traffic accident involving: 3 cars on 248 kilometer mark of M-4 Don Federal Motorway in Bogoroditsk District, Tula Region; a minibus and 2 cars on 273 kilometer mark of R-351 Yekaterinburg-Tyumen Federal Motorway in Tugulym District, Sverdlovsk Region; 2 cars on 215 kilometer mark of M-8 Kholmogory Federal Motorway in Rostov District, Yaroslavl Region.

Under control:

Since 7 August – response to a cyclone in Maritime Territory;

Since 4 August – rescue operations at a mine in the town of Mirny, Sakha (Yakutia);

Since 19 June – search and rescue operation on LakeLadoga in Karelia;

Response to cyclones in Russia;

Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
