Over the past 24 hours the NationalCrisisManagementCenter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.

Work was organized to put out 288 man-caused fires, respond to 287 traffic accidents and 16 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 66 explosive devices, including 3 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 60 occasions.

Measures were taken to mitigate:

-                Light plane crash in the town of Berdsk, Novosibirsk Region;

-                Fires: in a oil refinery plant in Nizhnevartovsk District, Khanti-Mansi Autonomous Area; in a house in the city of Krasnodar;

-                Traffic accident involving a minibus and a car in Ekhirit-Bulagatsky District, Irkutsk Region;

-                Disruption of gas supply in Karabudakhkent District, Dagestan.

Under control:

Since 12 August – medevac of a gravely ill patients from Moscow, Grozny and Kaliningrad to Magas, Saint-Petersburg and Moscow;

Since 7 August – response to a cyclone in MaritimeTerritory;

Since 4 August – rescue operations at a mine in the town of Mirny, Sakha (Yakutia);

Since 19 June – search and rescue operation on LakeLadoga in Karelia;

Response to cyclones in Russia;

Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
