Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 284 man-caused fires, respond to 291 traffic accidents and 23 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 4,831 explosive devices, including 3 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 71 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: at a clothing factory in the town of Smolensk; in a non-operated garages in the settlement of Strelka, Krasnoyarsk Territory;
- A fire in a locomotive in Tulun District, Irkutsk Region;
- A subsidence of the ceiling in a house in the town of Michurinsk, Tambov Region;
- A gas explosion in a gas station in Slavyansky District, Krasnodar Territory.
Since 10 August – response to a disruption in gas supply in Karabudakhkent District, Dagestan;
Since 7 August – response to a cyclone in Maritime Territory;
Since 4 August – rescue operations at a mine in the town of Mirny, Sakha (Yakutia);
Since 19 June – search and rescue operation on Lake Ladoga in Karelia;
Response to cyclones in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
