Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 273 man-caused fires, respond to 271 traffic accidents and 14 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 139 explosive devices, including 4 aerial bombs, provide psychological aid on 86 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: on the attic of a nursing home in the town of Sovetsky, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area; on the 1st floor of a business and shopping center in Tagansky District and on the 2nd floor of a two-floor building on the premises of a construction materials market in the settlement of Mosrentgen, Moscow;
- A traffic accident involving two cats and two trucks in Chertanovo Severnoye, Moscow;
- Collapse of the roof in a workshop on the premises of a factory in the town of Armyansk, Crimea;
- Disruptions: a power outage and disruption in water supply in Ivanovo District, Ivanovo Region; a power outage in Lebyazhye District, Kirov Region.
Since 9 August – response to a cyclone in south Russia;
Since 9 August – derailment of carriages of a freight train in Mogocha District, Transbaikalian Territory;
Since 7 August – response to a cyclone in Maritime Territory;
Since 4 August – rescue operations at a mine in the town of Mirny, Sakha (Yakutia);
Since 19 June – search and rescue operation on Lake Ladoga in Karelia;
Response to cyclones in Russia;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires.
