Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 372 man-caused fires, respond to 216 traffic accidents and 7 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 108 explosive objects, including 5 aerial bomb, provide psychological aid on 34 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in one non-residential and two residential buildings in the city of Omsk; on the roof of a block of flats in the city of Yekaterinburg; in a metaling hangar in Chertanovo Tsentralnoye, Moscow;
- Flooding of houses and farmlands in the town of Elista, Kalmykia;
- A traffic accident involving a passenger bus and a truck in Venyov District, Tula Region.
Since 15 May – flooding of embankment of a temporary bridge on a local motorway Krounovka – Korsakova in Ussuriysk District, Maritime Territory;
Since 15 May – traffic restriction on the federal motorway Dudinka – Alykel, Taymyr District, Krasnoyarsl Territory;
Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires;
Spring flooding in the Russian Federation.
