Under Russian Emergencies Ministry's control

Over the past 24 hours the NationalCrisisManagementCenter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.

Work was organized to put out 367 man-caused fires, respond to 221 traffic accidents and 2 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 423 explosive objects, provide psychological aid on 11 occasions.

Measures were taken to mitigate:

-                 Fires: in a college building, the city of Tver; in a house in the town of Nyurba, the Sakha Republic (Yakutia);

-                 Hard landing of a light plane in Zimovniki District, Rostov Region;

-                 Traffic accident involving a train and a truck in Tonshayevo District, Nizhny Novgorod Region;

-                 Cyclone in Tatarstan, Mari-El, Udmurtiya and Kirov Region.

Under control:

Since 20 April – mitigation of water supply disruption in the town of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov Region;

Since 19 April – shipwreck in the Black Sea;

Protection of settlements and businesses against wildfires;

Spring flooding in the Russian Federation.
