Over the past 24 hours the National Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry organized work to ensure functioning of control bodies, managing their forces and facilities as part of crisis management system on all the levels of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Work was organized to put out 292 man-caused fires, respond to 167 traffic accidents and 4 accidents on waterways, find and defuse 102 explosive objects, provide psychological aid on 7 occasions.
Measures were taken to mitigate:
- Fires: in a detached house in Novospasskoye District, Ulyanovsk Region; in a 2-floor wooden house in the town of Chelyabinsk; in a warehouse on industrial premises in the settlement of Biokombinat, Shchelkovo District, Moscow Region;
- Traffic accidents: involving a private minibus and a truck on kilometer mark 530 on M4 Don federal motorway in Novaya Usman District, Voronezh Region; involving a combine and an ambulance vehicle in Budyonnovsk District, Stavropol Territory; involving a minibus and a car in Opochka District, Pskov Region; involving 2 cars on kilometer mark 169 of M8 Kholmogory federal motorway in Rostov District, Yaroslavl Region;
- A break-away of an ice floe with 3 fishermen on it in the Volga River in the town of Tver;
- Disruptions: a disruption in heat supply and in hot water supply in the city of Krasnodar; a power outage in Ust-Tsilma and Izhma Districts, Komi Republic.
