Daily forecast, 6 June 2018

The forecast of possible emergencies on 6 June 2018 is determined by 4 cyclones, 3 anticyclones and the effect of atmospheric fronts. There might be disruptions in normal functioning of the society, operation of transport, power supply facilities, communication, housing and utilities in Sverdlovsk Region due to rains, thunderstorms, hails, wind gusting up to 25 m/s.

In the next three days:

-          The town of Tara may be flooded in Omsk Region due to flooding of the Arkarka river;

-          Up to 10 summer cottage properties located near the Ob river in the city of Novosibirsk may be flooded in Novosibirsk Region due to higher amount of discharge at the Novosibirsk Hydropower Plant;

-          High water levels and flooding risks will remain in the Beryozovka river (near the settlement of Beryozovka), Kolyma river (near the settlements of Srednekolymsk, Zyryanka and Kolymskoye), in the Yana river (near the settlement of Ust-Yansk), in the Yasachnaya river (near the settlement of Verkhnekolymsk), Lake Nalimskoye (near the settlement of Nalimsk) in the Sakha Republic.

-          Water levels can hit dangerous points and flood the Mayn river (near the settlement of Vayegi), Bolshoi Anyui (near the settlement of Konstantinovskaya) in Chukotka Autonomous Area.

There is a high risk of wildfires spreading to settlements, infrastructure (including power towers) and areas of wildfires getting larger in Far Eastern Federal District (Amur Region, Khabarovsk Territory and the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)), Siberian Federal District (Krasnoyarsk and Transbaikalian Territories, Buryatia and Irkutsk Region).

There are rockfall risks in mountainous Ciscaucasia and Krasnodar Territory (mountainous areas of Sochi).
