Cyclone in Southern part of Russian Federation

Power outages occurred in Southern Part of Russian in 37 municipalities (32 municipalities of Rostov Region, 3 municipalities of KrasnodarTerritory, 3 municipalities of Kalmykia and 2 municipalities of the AdygeaRepublic) owing to a cyclone, storm surges, heavy precipiations, snow and wind gusting up to 28m/s from 08 December 2016 to 09 December 2016.

As of 06:00 AM 11 December 2016:

Electricity supply was fully restored.

More than 1,900 people, and 600 units of equipment, including more than 500 people and 130 units of equipment provided by the Emergencies Ministry dealt with the cyclone aftermath.

Traffic accident in Orenburg Region

A traffic accident involving 4 cars occurred on 220 kilometer marker on the regional motorway between cities of Orenburg and Orsk near the settlement of Lylovo at 05:12 PM. There are injured.

32 people and 14 units of equipment, including 7 people and 2 units of equipment provided by the Emergencies Ministry dealt with the accident.

Response to traffic accident in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area

As of 6 AM, 10 December 2016, 17 people, including 13 children remain in hospitals in the cities of Khanty-Mansiysk and Moscow.

Necessary medical aid is fully being provided to the children, medevac is not required.

Response to man-caused fires

Fire and rescue divisions have put out 366 fires, including 2910 fires in residential blocks. 179 people have been affected, 148 of them have been saved.

Supervision bodies of the Emergencies Ministry Directorates for constituent territories of the Russian Federation are taking preventive measures to reduce the number of man-caused fires.

Bomb disposal divisions have found and defused 32 explosive devices.

Fire and rescue teams have been deployed 278 times to respond totraffic accidents.

375 people have been injured in road traffic accidents, 218 of them have been saved.

Emergency psychological aid

Specialists of the Emergency Ministry psychological service have been involved in rendering emergency psychological aid to people affected by emergencies 5 times. Psychological aid has been provided on 10 occasions.
