The Russian Emergencies Minister Yevgeniy Zinichev and the Head of the Ingushetia Republic Yunus-Bek Yevkurov have discussed creation of specialized fire and rescue station in the region during the working trip of the Minister.
A necessity in specialized fire and rescue station in Ingushetia arose due to improving infrastructure, construction of social facilities, high-rises and communal buildings, yearly increase in population. Such station will provide comprehensive response to emergency situations, firefighting operations and other relief operations and emergency efforts on the regional and federal level.
As of now, emergency response is carried out by forces of Ingushetia Republic Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, divisions of the Federal Fire Department, search and rescue and emergency and rescue units.
During the meeting, Yevgeniy Zinichev and Yunes-Bek Yevkurov also discussed prevention and mitigation of floods and landslides in the Republic, as well as fire safety at educational facilities and preparedness to the new academic year.
