The Russian Emergencies Minister Yevgeniy Zinichev has decorated six employees of the National Crisis Management Center on 2 July with medals of the Russian Emergencies Ministry For Cooperation in the Name of Rescue, for Propagating of Rescue, For Diligence, a commemorative medal 85 Years to Civil Defense and Emergency Responder badge. 5 specialists received new military and special ranks ahead of schedule. The Head of the National Crisis Management Center Viktor Yatsutsenko received a memorable gift – a watch. The event commemorates 25th anniversary since establishment of the Center.
Among the awardees are the specialists who deal with deployment of forces and equipment in emergencies, modeling of emergencies to prevent them, development and introduction of IT-technologies in the NCMS, international cooperation and on-duty service.
More than 200 emergencies occur in the Russian Federation every year. And every single one of them is under control of the Center, while the Russian Emergencies Ministry coordinates actions of all interested services and agencies. In the round-the-clock mode, specialists of the Center process large volumes of information coming from almost 2,500 on-duty services of executive authorities, local governments and organizations.
