The traditional Friendship Cup on fire and rescue sport have taken place during the XI International Exhibition ISSE 2018. 13 teams from the Central Federal District competed in one of the hardest disciplines – fire attack deployment.
This is the discipline where firefighters have to demonstrate their professional skills: taking water from an open source, lay a fire hose and put out a simulated fire. And all that they have to do very quickly – in a matter of seconds.
Teams of fire and rescue divisions of the city of Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Tver and Moscow Regions and teams of special offices of the Emergency Ministry’s federal fire services took part.
The fire attack deployment is a team discipline, but each of 7 participants has their own tasks. The competitors start simultaneously and run as far as a fire point stand with firefighting equipment and then they have to take water from a tank using a fire pump, to unroll a fire hose and hit 2 10-liter targets.
The team of firefighters from Moscow Region won the competition with the result of 34.91 seconds, while firefighters from special offices of the Emergency Ministry’s federal fire service No 88 and 72 came second and third.
