Deputy Emergencies Minister Vladlen Aksenov checks preparedness of Nizhny Novgorod rescuers to 2018 FIFA World Cup

Deputy Russian Emergencies Minister Vladlen Aksenov has visited fire and rescue divisions of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to check preparedness local forces to provide safety at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Special attention was given to organizing of emergency and rescue operations and use of new technologies and tools, used in emergency operations. Vladlen Aksenov also inspected the Nizhny Novgorod Region Directorate of the Emergencies Ministry, its vehicles and premises of Fire and Rescue Stations No.5, No.25 and No.27.

These units were inspected on purpose. The Fire and Rescue Station No.5 is responsible for protection in Kanavinsky District of Niznhy Novgorod, in which the stadium that will be hosting 2018 FIFA World Cup matches is located.

Airmobile teams from Ivanovo Region Directorate of the Emergencies Ministry are currently located in the Fire and Rescue Stations No.25 and No.27. They will be dispatched to the region to reinforce the local units for the duration of the World Cup.

Additionally, Vladlen Aksenov visited the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium to hold a working meeting with the Minister of Sport of the region Sergei Panov.

The Deputy Minister also visited one of the units, included into the Special Federal Fire Service Directorate No.38 of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
