An opening ceremony of the Crimean Bridge, featuring the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, will be held today.
Specialists of the Russian Emergencies Ministry from Krasnodar Territory and Crimea will provide safety at the ceremony. Specialists will patrol at the airport of the town of Anapa, motorways, transport way over the Kerch Strait, at the bridge, helicopter pads, Ataman etnographic complex. Boats of the State Small Vessels Inspectorate will be used to respond to emergencies on water.
The Russian Emergencies Mininistry’s task force consists of employees of fire and rescue stations of Temryuk and Kerch fire and rescue garrisons, search and rescue units of Southern Regional Search and Rescue Center, Aircraft and Rescue Center of the Southern Regional Center, Special Naval Unit of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Crimea Republic Directorate, State Small Vessels Inspectorate. The total strength of the task force is 580 people and 189 units of equipment (including 17 boats).
3 Kamov Ka-32 helicopters are on standby in the towns of Sochi, Gelendzhik and Simferopol, as well as 2 Mil MI-8 helicopters of the Aircraft and Rescue Center of the Southern Regional Center. Beriyev Be-200ChS and Antonov An-148 planes are on standby in Rostov-on-Don to reinforce the task force.
The Ministry will respond to possible emergencies in cooperation with the Kuban-SPAS emergency and rescue service, units of the Directorate for safety, prevention and response to emergencies, civil defense of Krasnodar Territory and other emergency services.
