Employees of the Russian Emergency Ministry have fully ensured security of Easter celebrations.
Fire and rescue divisions provided safety of Easter celebrations across the country, including at the Cathedral of the Redeemer in Moscow involving over 40 thousand Emergency Ministry’s workers. There were no fires or other incidents during religious processions and masses.
Specialists of the Ministry’s fire inspectorate had taken preventive steps beforehand to eliminate fires and accidents at public buildings holding large numbers of people involved in celebrations. They had run over 26 thousand checks and 11 thousand fire safety briefings with clergymen and the service staff.
During those checks special attention had been paid to evacuation routes and fire escapes, automatic fire defense systems and primary firefighting equipment.
