Emergency Ministry jet carries out medevac of two seriously ill children from Grozny to Nizhny Novgorod

An Emergency Ministry’s Sukhoi Superjet 100 has carried out a medical evacuation of two seriously ill children in need of highly qualified and high-tech medical aid from the city of Grozny to Nizhny Novgorod.

The flying hospital is rigged with modern equipment and special medical modules, ventilators and cardiac monitors allowing providing medical care aboard.

During the flight the patients were accompanied by medical specialists of the Emergency Ministry’s State Central Airmobile Rescue Team (Tsentrospas) and the Healthcare Ministry’s All-Russian Disaster Medicine Center Zashchita, as well as a psychologist of the Emergency Ministry’s Center for Emergency Psychological Aid.

In Nizhny Novgorod, the children were taken to the Volga Research Medical University of the Russian Healthcare Ministry.
