The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s specialists have examined four floors of the Winter Cherry mall in Kemerovo. 6 sections have been designated for a search operation. It was decided during a meeting, headed by the Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov, who arrived in Kemerovo.
At the moment, structural soundness of the building is being examined. Two construction cranes are being used for retention of the building.
The Minister Puchkov has reported that all the efforts are carried out under strict safety standards.
“None of the firemen, rescuers and other specialists was hurt”, he said.
At the same time, the Minister said that smoldering continues in the rubble, which generates a lot of smoke.
“Unfortunately, smoldering in rubble was obstructed by rubble and fire started again”, said Vladimir Puchkov. “All detected fire sources are being watered by firemen”.
The Minister also pointed out that all the injured and relatives of the killed must be providede with aid and support.
