The Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has made a decision to widen the search area around the Antonov An-148 plane crash in Ramenskoye District in Moscow Region.
The team working at the crash site has not changed – there are still over a thousand people and over 200 units of equipment, including 9 UAVs and 20 snowmobiles.
Two engines have been recovered from the crater left after the crash. All fragments of the plane have been sent in Emergency Ministry’s trucks to the Gromov Flight Research Institute in Zhukovsky to be examined by specialists of the Interstate Aviation Committee.
According to emergency operations center, 663 fragments of the plane have been found so far. The search operation continues.
