Rescuers have presumably found a flight data recorder at the Antonov An-148 plane crash site in Moscow Region, said head of the Emergency Ministry’s Moscow Region Directorate Sergei Poletykin.
“A flight data recorder has been found in the 18th sector. The Interstate Aviation Committee is now working to confirm and identify it,” he said during a meeting of the Governmental Disaster Management Commission’s working group.
Another flight data recorder was found the day before.
Mr. Poletykin said that 9 UAVs are being used to examine and check the area over which debris was scattered.
“The search area was divided into 29 sectors with a senior staff member assigned to each of them,” Mr. Poletykin said and added that an area for displaying the debris had been found and readied. Main efforts are now focused on finding fragments of the bodies and collecting the debris.
